Each year around mid-winter we acknowledge the shortest day and the longest night with a community festival of light. Lanterns, fires, and warming pots of soup are are made and enjoyed by the whole school community. A lantern walk goes around the second oval as night falls before returning to the main oval for fire twirling and mugs of hearty soup.
This much-loved evening is prepared by prep to grade 3 children from both streams who make lanterns and soup during class.
