Principal's Message

Dear Families,

We’ve made it to the halfway mark of Term 2—and what a term it’s been already! As the cooler months settle in and the weeks roll by, it’s easy to feel the pace of school life quicken. This is when we lean on our community the most. The strength of EBPS lies in our togetherness—in the way we support one another, share challenges, and celebrate the small wins.

As the author Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Thank you for being part of this journey with us. It’s your partnership that helps make our school a warm, safe and inspiring place for our students to grow.

Building Works Begin Next Week

Next week marks the beginning of some major building works at EBPS, and these upgrades will continue throughout Term 2. While there will certainly be some moments of adjustment and space will feel a little tighter than usual, we’re embracing this exciting time with positivity.

Thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility—we are so grateful for your understanding as we work toward providing the best possible facilities for your children.

To make way for the upgrades:

  • Andrea and Aric’s classes have moved to the end of the BER, where the junior library was previously located.
  • Lee’s classroom is now situated opposite Melinda’s class at the other end of the main building.

A heartfelt thank you to all staff and support crew who helped move classrooms this week—it was a big job, and your effort has made a smooth transition possible.

Class 5/6 Camp – Rumbug, Foster North

This week, our senior students returned from their camp to Rumbug in Foster North. They came back to school on Wednesday happy, a little tired, and full of stories and smiles—which is the sign of a truly successful camp experience!

Camps offer our students something unique: the chance to stretch themselves in new ways, grow their independence, and deepen friendships through shared adventure. From navigating high ropes to learning new skills, and simply enjoying each other’s company outside the classroom, this experience was a valuable part of our student’s learning journey.

A big thank you to the staff who attended and supported students during the week—your care and enthusiasm make all the difference.

Soccer at Break Times – A Community Approach

We’ve recently invested in new soccer goals for our oval to make sure more students have the opportunity to enjoy soccer during their breaks. It’s been fantastic to see so many students getting involved.

We’re currently in the process of finalising a formal roster so that all year levels have fair and equal access to the larger goals throughout the week. In the meantime, we encourage you to chat with your children about sharing the space, taking turns, and showing kindness to others while playing.

We’ll share the roster with you as soon as it’s ready. Thanks for your support in making our break times inclusive and enjoyable for all.

Farmers' Market – This Saturday!

Our next Farmers' Market is happening this Saturday, and we’d love to see you there! Come along for fresh produce, delicious fare, and the chance to connect with our wonderful community.

These markets are more than just a place to shop—they’re a celebration of community, sustainability, and local generosity. Your support helps raise important funds for our school, and your presence helps strengthen the bonds that make EBPS so special.
