Principal's Message

Hello Wonderful EBPS Community,

The term has started off beautifully, with students settling into their learning routines and engaging wholeheartedly with their work. It's been a pleasure to see classrooms buzzing with energy, curiosity, and creativity. Over the coming weeks, I am very much looking forward to spending more time in classrooms, observing the wonderful learning taking place and connecting with students and teachers alike.

At EBPS, we deeply value the partnership between school and families. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is vital to supporting our students' success. Thank you for the many ways you contribute to our school community — together, we make EBPS a place where every child can thrive.

Important Notice: No Breakfast Club Monday 5th May
Please note that due to the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) being used as a polling venue this weekend, there will be no Breakfast Club on Monday 5th May. Thank you for your understanding.

Mother's Day Stall & Morning Tea

Mother's Day is a special time to celebrate and honour the incredible parents and carers who nurture and support our children every day. It's a chance to reflect on the love, care, and resilience that mothers and carers bring to our lives.

To celebrate, we will be holding a Mother's Day Stall on Thursday 8th May from 9:00am. Students will have the opportunity to purchase beautiful gifts, with prices ranging from $2 to $7.

A huge thank you to our volunteers who are organising and running the stall — your support makes these special moments possible!

Mother's Day Morning Tea - Friday 9th May, 9am in the PAC.
Please come along to celebrate with fellow mums and carers at our morning tea provided by our wonderful school community. The raffle will also be drawn at this event - so don't forget to by a ticket! These are on sale at the office.

You're Invited: Introduction to Curative Eurythmy – A 3-Session Parent & Carer Experience

We are delighted to offer all East Bentleigh Primary School parents and carers — whether part of our Steiner or mainstream streams — a special opportunity to participate in a three-session introduction to Eurythmy, led by trained Curative Eurythmist Jenny Meltzer.

We are fortunate to be able to offer this free of charge!

Eurythmy is an expressive movement art developed as part of Steiner education. It brings together gesture, language, and music in a unique way that supports wellbeing, coordination, focus, and inner balance. For adults, it offers a reflective and embodied experience that many find calming, enriching, and revitalising.

These sessions are designed as a sequential series, meaning each session builds on the one before. For this reason, we kindly ask that participants commit to attending all three sessions to gain the full benefit of the experience.

Session details:

  • WEDNESDAYS28th May, 4th June and 11th June
  • Time to be confirmed
  • Performing Arts Centre, EBPS

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring something warm if the weather is cool — movement will be gentle but active.

Places are limited, and we encourage early registration to avoid missing out. An email will be sent out this week with a link to register.

We hope to see you there for this unique opportunity to experience Eurythmy in a warm and welcoming group setting!

Fees Reminder

We would like to gently remind families that school fees are an essential part of supporting the programs, resources, and opportunities we provide for our students. We truly appreciate those who have already paid their fees — thank you!

If you still have fees outstanding, we kindly ask that payment is made as soon as possible. Over the coming weeks, we will begin contacting families with overdue fees to offer support and arrange payment where needed. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please reach out — we are here to help.
