Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 4

Hi wonderful families and community of EBPS, welcome back to term 4.

I would like to thank you all for making me so welcome as the Acting Principal at EBPS for term 4, and hopefully beyond.

I come to EBPS from a range of schools and leadership positions, and am so very happy to be here. I feel like I have found a place that makes my heart sing each morning I get up to come to school.

I would like to acknowledge the amazing staff at East Bentleigh PS – you are all extremely committed and dedicated to our students and families, and I feel very fortunate to be able to work with you. I would also like to acknowledge our fabulous students – I have already been in many classrooms, and the students were welcoming, friendly, engaged in their learning, and very respectful and supportive of each other.

We have a busy term ahead with lots of planning taking place for 2025, and lots of exciting events coming up. We’ll keep you posted.

It takes a village

We know it ‘takes a village to raise a child’, and it also takes a community to grow a school. We know how important it is to build our community together, and for our children to see us working together towards a better future.

We are hosting a Working Bee – Sunday 20th Oct 9am to 12 noon. If you can spare any time at all please bring the family along and help out. We will be weeding and mending, and moving mulch, whilst we spend time together. Please bring gloves if you have them! If you need more info, please contact the office. Thank you in advance.

Writing through the years

Our students have been busy writing creative pieces, which are being displayed in the main building near the office. Please drop by at drop off or pick and take a look at the beautiful work our students have done.

Student led conferences

A quick head’s up! Student led conferences are coming up – 21st and 22nd October. I’m looking forward to seeing what the students have done this year and hearing about their educational journey. Please be sure to book a time – more information will be coming.

Whole school assemblies

Have you ever attended our fortnightly school assemblies? It’s a wonderful opportunity to see our students in action leading as they run the assembly, and to help us celebrate our achievements. Our first assembly for term 4 is next Friday 18th in the PAC at 3pm. Please join us to support our students.

I look forward to meeting all of you this term.

Kindest Regards,

Sarah Spence
