Hello everyone,
Open Day
What a busy, exciting Open Day we held on Wednesday 15th May. The weather was divine - sunshine and warmth. We commenced the proceedings by having a general gathering in our Performing Arts Centre (PAC) where we welcomed our visitors and talked about the programs we have at East Bentleigh P.S.
After the introduction, our very talented Extension Orchestra performed Vivaldi Concerto in D major and Round of Hope– a traditional middle eastern tune.
New families were then taken on a guided tour of the school – ending back at the PAC for a delicious morning tea. During morning tea another group of talented students who undertake extra curricula music lessons with Matt Moras and his team also performed beautifully.
To complete this wonderful morning we had Doug Bailey from Berry Street, talk to our parents and guests about how the Berry Street Educational Model is used here at EBPS and what parents can do at home.
Thank-you to all our staff who supported the Open Day and the many parents that assisted with all the organization and advertisements.
